The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Department helps keep Rainy River First Nations safe, functional, and running day to day.

Our team is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, inspections, and upkeep of community buildings, infrastructure, equipment, and grounds. From fixing a leaky pipe to maintaining facilities and responding to unexpected issues, O&M is there to keep things moving.

Water Delivery

H2O 2GO water jugs are delivered to Seniors, Elders and Highway households on Wednesdays. If you are not having water distributed and wish to be placed on the list please do not hesitate to reach out.

Water jugs can be picked up at any time during the day at the Administration Building.

Lawn Maintenance

The O&M team mows the lawns of our public spaces, as well as any senior or elder who has made the request for their lawn to be mowed. If you are a senior or elder who are currently not getting their lawn cut and would like to be added to the list please do not hesitate to reach out.

Garbage & Recycling Pickup

Garbage is picked up from residential households on Tuesday and Thursday, with recycling being picked up on Wednesday.

Large items – please reach out ahead to arrange pick up for large items that you wish to dispose of.

Spring Cleaning/Extra Garbage – we are able to move one of our garbage trucks to your drive and leave it parked for an evening/weekend at your request. This is to accommodate members who are looking at doing a big clean and want some extra space to throw their garbage.
